Narnia review
I read this book at home. It was my first book that I read that year for a book exam. The book was advised by the English teacher because it was a relatively easy book to understand. The English was not to difficult. The other reason why I chose this book is because I had already seen the movie. I thought the movie was so much fun that I decided to read the book as well.
Narnia is written by C.S. Lewis. His full name is Clive Staples Lewis. He was born on the 29th of November 1863 in Oxford, United Kingdom. Sadly enough he past away on the 22th of November 1963. The main character of the book is Lucy, she is a young girl (about ten years old) and the youngest of the four siblings. She is a very polite and sweet girl who likes to have fun and play. She is also very adventurous. Lucy has dark brown hair that comes to her shoulder and she has a kind face. In the book she wears a sweater and a little skirt. Lucy is the one that finds Narnia when she went into the wardrobe.
The story takes place at a big house of an old professor in the heart of England. In the house there is a wardrobe which leads to a different land named Narnia. The kids spend most of their time in Narnia. Most of the story also takes place in Narnia.
The story is about four siblings called Lucy, Edmund, Peter and Susan who got sent away from the war in England. They got sent to an old house of a professor. One day the siblings decided to play hide and seek. Lucy found a room with a giant wardrobe inside of it. When she hid in the wardrobe she found out that it was magic and lead to a different land called Narnia. It was a magical land where it was always winter. Narnia was full of talking animals and magic. No one believed Lucy when she told them about the wardrobe. But one day when they checked out the wardrobe they all discovered the land as well. The four siblings need to help save Narnia by deafening the evil ice queen.
I really enjoyed reading this book. Right from the beginning it was fun to read and it got better when I kept on reading. The book was full of adventures and fantasy. The details written in the book made it even more fun to read because I could picture the story better.
I usually don’t like reading but this book was actually fun to read and I wanted to keep reading. The storyline was great and I would recommend this book to anyone older than 15.
