The Haunted Castle review
I read a book named: “The Haunted Castle” at home as a assignment for my English class. I don’t really hate or like this book specifically because it is a child book but still has an interesting story to it. I will discuss more details about it further within this review.
The book named The Haunted castle is from the year 2007, written by Geronimo Stilton. Geronimo's adventure begins with an unexpected call from his uncle Samuel S. Stingysnout, who invites the entire Stilton family to creepy old Penny Pincher Castle, far away from home. Geronimo isn't quite the traveler, naturally speaking, but there's a big surprise involved that could be good or not. So he figures that, as long as his sister Thea is going along with it, he will take the spooky trip and have an out-of-this-world adventure. Ghosts, love and wonder all wrap around each other to make a chilling soup of craziness that marks yet another grand adventure for Geronimo Stilton.
Geronimo Stilton is an Italian children's book series published by Edizioni Piemme of Milan, Italy, since 2000. Although the series credits its title character as the author, the idea was originally thought of by Hunter Murphy. On older novels, the copyright is issued to a pseudonym "Geronimo Stilton" this was changed on newer books. The books are intended for readers in the 6–12-year-old age range. Scholastic Corporation has published the English version of the series in the US since February 2004, and the books are published by Sweet Cherry Publishing in the UK. The fictional characters in The Haunted Castle are : Benjamin Stilton (a sweet loving 9 year old mouse and geronimos favourite nephew), Geronimo Stilton (he runs a newspaper and he lives in mouse city because he is a mouse, Thea Stilton (helps Geronimo with his newspaper and always follows him on his adventures, because she is very adventurous), Trap Stilton (he is an awful joker and also geronimos cousin).
In my opinion the book was really easy to read because there were not a lot of hard words within the book, because it is a children’s book. Still it was really fun to read because it has a very nice storyline.
As my conclusion I will advise to read this book if you are a bit younger, maybe like 12/13 years old, if you’re above that age you can still read it but maybe you will find it boring and really childish.
